ProLogis Global Headquarters

This 89,000 sf, five-story (107 feet) precast structure serves as the global headquarters for ProLogis. This facility offers employees a fitness center, outdoor walking path and a cafeteria. State-of-the-art conference facilities and technology were incorporated throughout the building. This project achieved LEED Certification.

3 Crescent Drive

This 90,000 SF office building is located in Philadelphia’s Historic Navy Yard and is home to Tasty Baking Company’s new corporate headquarters. It has set a goal of LEED Gold Certification.

Legacy Plaza, Gates World Headquarters

This 10-story office building consists of 302,000 s.f. of office and lobby retail space with 23,384 s.f. of parking.  Located in the City and County of Denver’s historical LoDo District, the building’s exterior features architectural precast with punched windows and an impressive south facing curtainwall elevation.  The building rests on a caisson foundation extending 24′ into bedrock.  The building structure has 1,458 tons of structural steel with composite decks and steel braced-frame construction.

The sophisticated multi-floor HVAC System is a roof mounted, central HVAC plant with floor-by-floor air handling units and a fan powered VAV air distribution system.  To meet electrical needs, the building is fed with two separate 3000 amp normal power bus risers equipped with harmonic reducing transformers (for computer loads) as well as a separate 1200 amp emergency power switchboard, backed by a 750 kw generator.

The interior lobby features stainless steel, birdseye maple paneling, and granite finishes truly making it a Class A building.

Archstone-Smith Communities

This 60,000 s.f. multi-floor tenant finish is a stunning example of Class “A” executive office areas with stone floors, maple walls and imported maple woven wood paneling.  The existing built-out space was phased to accommodate Archstone’s requirements in their company’s headquarters, with careful attention to noise, dust, life safety and fire egress.

Project challenges included long-lead millwork with elaborate custom detailing, complex layout requirements, and the constraints of working in occupied space.  The project earned a 2003 IDA Award from the Colorado Chapter of the American Society of Interior Design (ASID).

Toyota TRD Chassis Engineering Building

This LEED Certified facility serves as Toyota’s chassis facility to support several of it’s NASCAR Nextel Cup Teams, such as Waltrip Racing, Team Red Bull, and Bill Davis Racing. The facility is comprised of Engineering Offices, General Shop and Specialty Testing Systems including 7 Post & 12 Post Test Rigs.

Hendrick Motorsports 24 Race Shop

A new race shop and office building for Hendrick Motorsports and Jeff Gordon’s #24 DuPont and Jimmie Johnson’s #48 Lowe’s (NASCAR Winston Cup Racing Teams) includes extremely high end Lobby finishes are of anigre wood panels, epoxy terrazzo floor in a waving checkered flag pattern, and extensive aluminum and glass displays.  The 2nd floor contains Jeff Gordon’s private offices and the offices of all support staff.  The balance of the facility is for engineering offices as well as Cup car finish fabrication, painting, and setup. The Lobby contains memorabilia from Jeff Gordon’s and Jimmie Johnson’s careers including uniforms, trophies from each victory, and #24 and #48 display cars.  Jeff Gordon leads a video tour through the facility on several plasma screens throughout the space.

Sanctuary Park Campus

Choate has constructed nine base buildings and numerous interior spaces in the Sanctuary Park Development since 1997.  Base buildings include the 242,000 SF Falls at Sanctuary Park; the 150,000 SF Oakview I; 155,000 SF Oakview II; Lakeview I and II, each at 185,000 SF; Stonebridge I and II, 150,000 SF; Stonebridge III, 163,000 SF; and Oakview III, at 210,000 SF.  Also included are two parking decks, 297,000 SF, four story deck, 274,000 SF deck with 812 spaces, and more than 882,000 SF of interior spaces

Federal Aviation Administration

Choate Construction performs the stunning office offering much-needed space for the ever-expanding Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This 100,000-SF headquarter office provides room to consolidate multiple branches into a single facility.

FAA pushed the normal limits of tilt wall with its four story height and maximized openings; both the tilt and steel erection were staged and coordinated perfectly with each other.

In addition to extensive security and back-up systems, high-end finishes such as thick-set honed and polished Walker Zanger tile, Natural Birch Pecan wood paneling, and a custom glass feature wall make this building an impressive home for the FAA.

West 8th

This 28-story, 520,000 rentable square foot office tower achieved LEED CS Gold (quickly, with no follow-up questions, aided by 13 credits Lewis helped find). The building is structural steel with a concrete core, and features 480 parking spaces both below-grade and on floors 2 and 3. Core construction set a record for cycle time for a Peri system, often just three days per cycle on floors 14-28.
