Mayor Hancock to Mark Midpoint of Hotel and Transit Center Program with Placement of Time Capsule
Mayor Michael B. Hancock will join Manager of Aviation Kim Day to commemorate the midpoint of Denver International Airport’s (DIA) Hotel and Transit Center Program at a special event on Tuesday, October 8 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the site of the future transit center. The Mayor, Day and special guests will place a 50-year time capsule beneath the newly constructed transit center floor. Former mayors Federico Peña, Wellington Webb, Bill Vidal and Governor John Hickenlooper will also make special guest appearances in a special event video. Following the event, attendees will be invited to visit a number of information stations providing displays and details about the program.
