Pizza Hut Corporate Headquarters

Pizza Hut Corporate Headquarters consists of a 3-story, 177,540 SF tilt-wall building with steel structure, cast stone exterior veneer and stone veneer accents. Adjacent to the main office structure is a 145,000 SF, 3-level cast-in-place parking garage clad with architectural pre-cast panels. This building includes a number of unique features such as child-care facilities, exterior water features, an on-site data center, numerous full-size restaurant test kitchens and restaurant mock-ups of the company’s restaurants. Rogers-O’Brien helped the project comply with the strict policy of minimizing environmental impact by achieving two Green Globe Awards for the numerous earth-friendly features included in the design and construction of the facility.

Colorado School of Mines Maple Residence Hall

A new four-story residence hall on the Golden campus. Includes site development (demolition of existing structures, earthwork, site utilities, and road work) and 97,665 sf of new construction. The project is being built on an accelerated “fast track” schedule and is seeking LEED Silver Certification.

Physician’s Care Surgical Hospital

IMC served as the general contractor for the new construction of this physician-owned surgical hospital in Royersford, Pennsylvania. The Physicians Care Surgical Hospital includes four operating rooms, 22 patient beds, recovery areas, waiting rooms, and administrative space.

Broomfield Event Center

As the anchor for the 215-acre multi-use development, Arista, the Broomfield Event Center will host concerts, trade shows, rodeos and other community functions as well as athletic events.  At 180,000 s.f., the facility will include 6,000 seats, 25 suites, 900 club seats, a 200-seat restaurant, two club lounges and a separate basketball facility.

This venue will be home to two professional minor league sports teams; the Rocky Mountain Rage of the Central Hockey League and the Colorado 14ers of the Continental Basketball Association.

Construction for this state-of-the-art facility began in October 2005.  The site also includes a 1,500 space parking garage which we are building concurrently with the Event Center and both facilities are on schedule to open Fall 2006.

Apex Recreation Center

At 168,000 s.f., this new indoor water theme park and family center displays a new adventure look for recreation centers.  The innovative concepts for the structural steel, glass, precast and brick veneer are carried throughout the facility.  An “old mining town” theme and interactive water play system are integrated into the aquatic area. There are two separate NHL size ice arenas, two gymnasiums, an aerobics room, climbing wall, cafe-bar area and a soft-play children’s room with an interactive treehouse. At a cost of $22.7 million, the facility is the largest recreation district owned center in the country.

East 29th Avenue Town Center

The East 29th Avenue Town Center for Forest City Stapleton is a large multi-use development that consists of 197,000 s.f. of space divided up between ten separate buildings.  The project includes 30 retail spaces, 144 residential apartments, two 30,000 s.f. office buildings, two stand-alone restaurants and a King Soopers.  The Town Center was built by local subcontractors working for the Saunders / BDI joint venture.

This $20 million project provided Saunders the opportunity to expand its repertoire by utilizing two- and three-story stick-framed residential structures over steel and composite deck main floor structures on the residential portions of the project.

Lazzara Center for Oral/Facial Health

This 95,000 s.f. , $20 million Center for Oral/Facial Health houses the University of Colorado School of Dentistry (UCSD) at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (UCHSC) Fitzsimons campus. The mission of the School of Dentistry is to provide programs of excellence in teaching, research, patient care, and community/professional service for Colorado and the nation.

The UCSD is the only dental school in Colorado and the entire Rocky Mountain Region. The Center for Oral Health will provide clinical education space as well as clinical functions including general dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, surgery, radiology, and pediatric care, geriatric care, and special needs care.

The Wildlife Experience

The Wildlife Experience is the home for an extensive collection of wildlife art including original oils, watercolors, sculptures and photography.

The 100,000 s.f. facility was built in just 14 months and includes 31,000 s.f. of galleries and a 315-seat IWERKS Extreme Screen Theater, as well as banquet facilities, café, gift shop and back of house facilities.  The project is located on 14 acres in Douglas County’s Meridian Park.

 

The award winning architecture incorporated copper roofing and wall panels, sandstone veneer masonry, colored and etched precast wall panels and a translucent glazed curtain wall system.

zMax Dragway at Concord

Joining the Lowe’s Motor Speedway’s legendary complex is the quarter-mile ZMax Dragway, the largest drag strip ever built.  Features include a five story 34,000 SF scoring tower with luxury suites, press boxes, grand stands, and a spectator’s amenity facilities for national NHRA qualifier and championship events.  Amazingly, the schedule for the entire complex was seven months.  In typical Choate fashion, it was completed in five months and $500,000 under budget.

Newton Medical Center

Choate has maintained a relationship with Newton General Hospital for more than 19 years.  In that time, Choate has completed more than 398,000 SF in additions and renovation projects with no disruption in service to the facility’s patients.  The expansion of the hospital’s new wing, medical office building, women’s center, additions of the 3rd and 4th floors, and a new emergency generator plant for the hospital are a few examples of the many projects completed for this valued repeat client.
